BIO
Originally I come from a fine art background, and have immersed myself in various forms of art since I was a young child. All of my interests growing up have informed what I do now, from painting miniatures, reading fantasy and sci-fi literature, textile design, playing music, video games, role playing, and my love for cheesy 80’s culture.
I travelled around a lot growing up, eventually ending up studying Fine Art at Chelsea College of Art & Design in London. Throughout my studies, tattoos where something I always had an interest in, and after graduating I fully pursued a path into this world, starting to really get heavily tattooed and eventually landing an apprenticeship. The appeal was always that tattooing was everyman’s art, and had the capability to transform how a person felt about themselves. It enabled me to transform how I felt about myself and put things on body that I thought just looked really cool. I fully encourage all of my clients to do the same.
For me, tattooing has always been about understanding and respecting the tradition and history that surrounds it. I try to embody both a mindset and an aesthetic that has a classic, timeless tattoo feel, favouring classic, wild americana traditional, fine line black and grey, and the occasional bit of Japanese. I also love incorporating elements of fantasy, sci-fi, and pop culture, to give a playful modern take on traditional designs. Regardless of trends, my goal is always to deliver a tattoo that will age like fine wine in your skin, and to give you something that you will be happy with until your body finally gives up the ghost!
The relationship I have with my clients is extremely special. Over the years I have made friends and become very close to many of the people I tattoo, something that you do not get anywhere else. For me, the fact that someone trusts me enough to put something I have made, permanently on their body, is the highest honor you can get. My job is incredibly personal, both to me and my clients, and I take pride in doing the best job I can for everyone I tattoo. Feel free to reach out and contact me if you would like to talk about a project, or just to say hello.
